AI for PHP developers: the web you build is getting a model behind it
PHP remains the language of a large part of the web: shops, content platforms, internal applications, Laravel and Symfony APIs. All of these are now getting assistants over content, semantic search, automatic classification and integrations with agents. The ecosystem has answered, with Symfony AI and with official PHP SDKs for the Claude API and for the Model Context Protocol, but the real requirement is a different one: understanding how a model behaves in production and integrating it without compromising the security of the application.
A PHP developer is usually the one closest to the real data and flows of a business: products, orders, customers, content. That is a good position for RAG over your own content, for automations with agents and for MCP tools exposed to assistants. What most PHP teams lack is not libraries but the mental model: non-determinism, cost per token, evaluation, prompt injection.
but
Where the risk is
The pressure comes from two directions. Prompt-to-app tools generate complete web applications, on other stacks, for clients who used to order a PHP site. And coding agents rewrite whole modules in minutes. The answer is not to compete with them, but to be the one who uses them on real codebases and who builds what they cannot: the safe integration of AI into existing systems.
In practice
What changes in your work with PHP
01
Your application becomes a source of context
Products, articles, tickets and documents become embeddings and retrieval results. Chunking, indexing, permissions and the evaluation of answers are new responsibilities for the PHP backend.
02
Your APIs become tools for agents
Laravel or Symfony endpoints are exposed as MCP tools or as functions callable by models, with authentication, least-privilege permissions and strict validation of arguments.
03
Web security gains a new class of attacks
Prompt injection through user-generated content, exfiltration through tools, cost abuse. A PHP developer who already knows XSS and CSRF has a head start, provided they learn these vectors too.
04
PHP code is written with agents, in the editor or the terminal
Claude Code and Cursor work on Laravel and Symfony projects. The difference is made by context, permissions and verification in CI.
Each of these changes has at least one course in the track below. See the track
The proof, at the end
A Certificate of Completion for every course in the PHP track
When you have gone through all the lessons of a course and have an average of at least 70% on its quizzes, you issue from your account, after confirming the conditions, a
Certificate of Completion with a unique number and a public verification link.
It is not issued automatically and it comes at no extra cost, with a plan or with single-course access.
Verifiable by anyone. Every certificate has a QR code and a public verification page, with its unique code. A recruiter checks it without an account.
With figures, not just a name. The percentage of lessons completed, the average quiz score and the study time are written on the document.
Three tiers, by quiz average: Pass (70–79%), Merit (80–89%) and Distinction (90% and above), shown on the document.
Your name, your choice. You decide whether your name appears on the public verification page, and you can change that choice at any time.
A private attestation of course completion. It is NOT a diploma or a state-recognised qualification under Romanian
Laws 198/2023, 199/2023 or Government Ordinance 129/2000; employers may take it into account at their own discretion.
The real document, an A4 PDF, shown here with sample data: the name, the course and the serial number are placeholders, and the QR code in the image is decorative.

AI courses for PHP: 3 stages, 10 courses
In the order in which they matter. If you already have experience with model APIs, skip the foundations. For each course, the reason it matters to someone who works with PHP.
1
Stage 1: Foundations: how a model works and how you call it
The mental model of LLMs and correct prompting, before you write the first client in PHP.
The map of the field, from LLMs and APIs to RAG, agents and evaluation. Its module on AI tools for developers writes its prompts and generated code for a Symfony and PHP application; the other modules use mostly Python.
Key modules: Machine Learning Essentials · Large Language Models and Modern Architectures · Working with LLM APIs and Integrations · AI Tools for Developers
Prompt engineering for code, agents and business, plus prompt security: the base for any prompt placed in a web application exposed to users. Some of its project-instruction examples describe a Laravel application.
Key modules: Advanced Prompting Techniques · Multi-Modal Prompt Engineering · Prompt Engineering for AI Agents · Prompt Engineering for Code
The streaming lesson implements the server side with FastAPI, Express and Symfony, so you see the PHP version next to the others. The rest, error handling, function calling, productionization and security, is in Python and is the logic you then implement in PHP.
Key modules: Streaming and Error Handling · Function Calling and Tool Use · Model Context Protocol (MCP) · Multi-Model Orchestration and Optimization
RAG over the content of your application: chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, production and evaluation, with pgvector among the vector stores it covers. The examples are in Python.
Key modules: Implementing the RAG Pipeline · Embedding Models and Document Processing · Advanced RAG · Advanced RAG Architectures
Protocol architecture, transports, authentication, enterprise patterns and security. The example servers are in Python and TypeScript; you carry the design over to the PHP SDK.
Key modules: Building MCP Servers with Python · Building MCP Servers with TypeScript · Transport, Authentication and Configuration · Enterprise Patterns and Production Architectures
Agents with memory, tools and guardrails, design patterns for production, and workflow automation with n8n, Make and Zapier: the flows in which a PHP application is usually the source or the destination of the data.
Key modules: Memory, State and Advanced Reasoning · Frameworks and SDKs for AI Agents · Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Interoperability · Workflow Automation with AI
Agentic coding from the terminal on large codebases, with the git workflow, hooks, CI and least-privilege permissions. None of it is tied to a language, so it applies to a Laravel or Symfony repository as to any other.
Key modules: Multi-File and Large Codebases: Plan, Edit, Review and Context Management · The Full Git Workflow: Branches, Commits, Conflicts, Code Review and PRs · Headless Mode (claude -p) and Non-Interactive Automation · Subagents and Agent Teams: Orchestration, Delegation and Controlled Parallelization
What Lovable, v0, Bolt and Replit Agent generate and where they fall short on security, sensitive data and production, so you know what you compete with and what you offer on top.
Key modules: The Anatomy of Prompt-to-App: From Specification to Application · A Comparative Tour of the Tools: Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit Agent · Essential Integrations: Database, Auth, Versioning, Payments and Deployment · From MVP to Something Usable: Production Limits
All 10 courses in this track fit in a subscription of 10 courses.€319 per month, VAT included; you pick the courses and can change them at every renewal. Or only the course you are interested in, €99 per month, from the “This course only” link on each row.
What already exists, so that you do not start from zero. The courses in the track teach you what to build with it.
Symfony AIA set of Symfony components for model platforms, agents, chat and vector stores, with a bundle that integrates the MCP SDK.
The PHP SDK for MCPAn official SDK of the protocol, for MCP servers written in PHP.
The official Anthropic SDK for PHPA client for the Claude API; for the OpenAI API there are community-maintained PHP libraries.
HTTP and server-sent eventsModel APIs are plain HTTP with SSE streaming; the LLM integration course implements a streaming endpoint with Symfony’s StreamedResponse.
pgvector and vector databasesSemantic search directly in PostgreSQL or in a dedicated vector database.
OpenAI-compatible endpointsSelf-hosted models served with Ollama or vLLM are called from PHP exactly like cloud APIs.
At the end
What you will be able to do at the end of the PHP track
1Add a RAG assistant over the content of a Laravel or Symfony application, with permissions and evaluation
2Expose existing APIs as MCP tools or as functions callable by models, with strict validation and least-privilege permissions
3Stream model answers from a PHP endpoint, with retries, cost under control and compliant logging
4Use Claude Code and Cursor on large PHP codebases, with verification in CI
5Defend the application against prompt injection and tool abuse, as an extension of web security
These are the skills you practise in the courses of the track; results depend on the time you invest and on your previous experience.
What you get here that you do not get from a tutorial
Courses of about 25 hours, structured in modules
Code examples, architectures and case studies, and in some courses a capstone project at the end. Not summaries of documentation, but structured material that you go through in order, at your own pace.
AI Professor in every lesson
You ask in the context of the lesson, by typing or by voice, and get an explanation of the concept you are on. Every lesson has its quiz: about 355 questions per course on average. The professor is an AI system, not a human teacher, included in every plan with a fair-use limit.
Up to date with what the industry asks for
Agentic coding, MCP, RAG, agents, evals, LLM security, fine-tuning, AIOps, computer vision and Edge AI are whole courses in the catalog, not closing chapters.

A few. The introduction uses a Symfony and PHP application in its module on AI tools for developers, the LLM integration course implements a streaming endpoint with Symfony next to the FastAPI and Express versions, and the Cursor course writes its rules for a Symfony backend. Everything else is mostly in Python, and the MCP course also has a module in TypeScript. Model APIs are HTTP with server-sent events, which a PHP developer consumes without difficulty.
I work on WordPress or on an online shop. Does it make sense?
Yes. Assistants over content, semantic search, product classification and automations with agents are common requirements on these platforms. The RAG, integration and security courses apply directly, although none of them is written specifically for WordPress or for a shop platform.
Are prompt-to-app tools taking my clients?
They take the prototype part. The vibe coding course shows what they generate and where they fall short: security, sensitive data, integration with existing systems, production. The value of a PHP developer moves towards the safe integration of AI into real applications and towards using coding agents on large codebases.
